I am passing the word on about a permaculture design course held
this summer in Bluff, Utah. It is sure to be a great and fun course
with two local Flagstaff guest instructors! Feel free to pass the
word on...

Josh Robinson

Permaculture in the Four Corners

Presented by: DesignBuildBLUFF and Andrew Millison

August 6th – August 19th 2006

This is a two week course based in Bluff, Utah that will provide
participants the opportunity to earn a certificate in Permaculture
design. Permaculture is a design system where food, water, and energy
are thoughtfully integrated based on the intrinsic patterns of nature
This unique course will be taught by Andrew Millison
www.millisonecological.com and will address dryland Permaculture
techniques including rainwater harvesting, graywater reuse, dryland
food systems, dry farming, forest gardening, alternative energy
systems, and green building. Hands-on practice will play a central
role in the learning process for this course, which will culminate in
a design project for our 3.5 acre site in Bluff.

Centered in the heart of the four corners region, we will benefit
from
the many unique cultural and ecological opportunities of the area.
Field trips will include traditional Native American dry farming
sites, established regional permaculture projects, local green
buildings and alternative energy systems. The benefits gained from
this course will provide remarkable insight for applying permaculture
techniques to numerous modern living situations.

Guest instructors will bring exceptional learning opportunities to
this experience. Guests will include: Lisa Rayner, author of Growing
food in the Southwest Mountains www.flagteaparty.org, Josh Robinson,
accomplished Permaculture practitioner from Flagstaff, Arizona, and
Rico Zook of the Lama foundation www.lamafoundation.org.

Enrollment is limited and we expect this course to fill quickly. For
