Hi folks,

I am facing a task of doing a risk analysis in computer networking department
environment based on the FMEA method. As long as the analysis should be an
overall view of the whole environment, and the environment is heterogeneous, the
trick is to find a solution on how to make the failures connect to each other
(in a cascade style) and produce an end-to-end overall view.

I was wondering if anybody have some suggestions on best practices for this or
just a recommendation on where to find a good practical case where such a FMEA
was used in such heterogeneous environment.

The heterogeneous environment is whole IT network department, so the objects of
analysis range from the HW (switches, routers, machines, storages) to SW(tools,
applications, portals)
