Ok, not to take away anything from what Gopal did, but is it really such
a big deal to port a well written app to a new architecture?
When I wrote libyahoo2, my only criterion was that it compile with the
-ansi and -pedantic flags turned on. Months later people were mailing
me telling me that it compiled out of the box on platforms that I didn't
know existed.
Ok, so dotGNU as a complete platform is obviously way more complex than
a simple network app. It needs to heck of a lot of resource management,
but if it's written well to begin with, then these tasks should be
trivial.
Gopal, please let us all know what the job involved. (Also, you could
do that on the -tech list instead of the -2004 list).
