Re: [freenergy] Who should pay for greenhouse gas?

And my response to that is F!!! that. We have been trying to get better mileage cars for a long time. We had electric cars in the '70s but they weren't interested. There have been many ways to make cars run more efficient but they put in additives to the gas to ruin it. Cars have been designed to get 200mpg on diesel fuel but the gov mandates to the auto companies that best milage allowable in 20003 would be 40. Then what do they do but con the auto industries into making all these big gas gusselers and "PUSH" them on the public.
The thing to do is to have the "WHOLE USA STAND UP AND YELL JUST AS LOUD AS YOU CAN" ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Lets see them ignore that many voices. When the hill turns a deaf ear, start a recall on all the ones that dont support reform. You may silence a few, but the whole country will turn the head.

There is a TSUNAMI in the making, Its slowly building, better have your big board ready and take the ride of your life. Mankind is waiting to take the next step, but it cant if choked by greed.

Rock and roll

Oil industry leaders called for a national carbon tax on consumers Monday to help pay for building new greenhouse-gas disposal systems. The levy would put the burden where it belongs - on fossil-fuel users that cause the most emissions, said Nexen Energy president Charlie Fischer and Enbridge president Pat Daniel. "Our industry is prepared to do its share," Fischer said as environmental obstacles to oilsands development took centre stage at the 2008 World Heavy Oil Congress in Edmonton.
