Andre, I just checked my copy of the OPML Editor, and there is no
system.compiler.kernel.file.readWholeFile, so I guess we didn't ship
it. I don't remember what the issue was, but I do remember talking
about it with you.
We now have a deal-stopper with IE7 on Windows that we need help with.
I will not be able to handle this on my own. I'm pretty sure you're
the only person who can implement the fix, although (believe it or
not) Joshua Allen at Microsoft is looking into it. I wonder if we
could get some of your time on this.
My guess and it's just a guess is that the html dialogs are corrupting
memory in some way, and when they return the OPML Editor crashes (that
part is observable). It's a deal-stopper. The Windows version won't
run if IE7 is installed. That's almost certainly true of Frontier as well.
