I am using the free GPhotoshow version 1.6.3 on Windows XP machine for a DYI
digital photoframe. Using the AutoHotKey software I simulate a mouse click
every 8 minutes to kill the screen saver (for reasons I won't go into here).
Then the screen saver starts again in after one minute of inactivity. Delay
between each image is 60 seconds.
I have approx 700 photos, but I noticed that some photos are repeating very
frequently (many photos are seen 4-5 times in an hour).
I am using the "Choose Image Randomly" option. "Restart slide show from the
last image" option is disabled. If I don't select "Choose Image Randomly", I
can select "Restart slide show from the last image" and the photos do not
repeat. But I don't want the photos shown in a sequential order.
I am wondering if GPhotoShow is using the system time to generate the random
number that selects the photo and because I am generating the mouse click via a
program, the randomness is reduced.
I have seen several posts insisting that the photos will be random. But I
observed this over a long period and I clearly see that the photos are
repeating. Also, I have reviewed the photos to make sure that there are no
duplicates.
Any workaround or tips will be appreciated.
