About GEEP (http://geeksofpune.org/)
GEEP is a non-profit group to promote Linux system software.
Mission: Be a forum for discussions, exchange of ideas and activities related to Linux system software
Vision: Organize discussions, conferences. Conduct programming contests. Guide students who fetch system software projects. Evaluate work done by different programmers in Pune and try to locate best Linux hackers periodically.
Strategy: Industry associations. Fetch sponsorships from companies who do Linux system software development. Also fetch sponsorships from training institutes who conduct Linux system software courses.
GEEP core group Following people do the hard work to make GEEP succesful: Amey Inamdar, Amit Kale, Kedar Sovani, Kiran Divekar, Nilesh Govande, Neependra Khare, Pranav Peshwe.
