The geology-issues web site is a forum for any issues relating to geology, including technology, training and standards. Articles are supplied directly, without moderation, by members of the Specialist Group in Education of the Geological Society of Australia (GSA), and the Australian Geoscience Information Association (AGIA). This compliments the edited newsletters ‘The Great Australian Byte’ (from AGIA),‘The Australian Geologist’ and 'GeoOZ' quarterly email(from the GSA); and the ‘Australian Journal of Earth Science’ and ‘Alcheringa’, for which articles there must be referees. Please look at the web site links to find more information on these and other publications. By way of comparison, articles on the web site are published and read within days, articles with the newsletter within months and for the journal lead times are often several years.
