GNUnify: The name symbolizes the GNU/Linux, the philosophy behind Free/Open source, unifying and strengthening the Free/Open source movement, sharing and spreading knowledge, with the help of IT. GNUnify was initiated in the year2003, with an intention of establishing a platform for students and IT professionals of our country in the world of Free/Open software.

GNUnify focuses on the student community, GNU/Linux developers and GNU/Linux enthusiasts. Events like techie talks, GNU/Linux install fest, workshops and seminars form the integral part of this festival. Prominent personalities of the software & IT world, coming from all over the country& across the globe, enrich this festival by imparting speech on the relevant subjects.

Over the last three years, GNUnify has succeeded in unifying the vibrant student community with the industry. SICSR is now gearing up for GNUnify 2006, which would be held on 4-5, February.
