Growing Organic for the Future with NOFA-NY!

The Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York, Inc. is an organization of consumers, gardeners and farmers creating a sustainable regional food system which is ecologically sound and economically viable. Through demonstration and education, we promote land stewardship, organic food production, and local marketing.

NOFA-NY has been bringing consumer and farmer closer together to make high quality food available to all people for 27 years!

GO NOFA has been created as an educational forum where the organic community can discuss a wide variety of topics such as blight alerts; soil, weed & crop management; animal husbandry; growing techniques & tips; marketing issues and discussions; product or source availability; NOP Standards issues; policy issues; related conferences or workshops; discussions of NOFA-NY activities; and other like-minded and related discussions. NOFA-NY reserves the right to reject any discussion that does not conform to the mission statement of NOFA-NY.

NOFA-NY welcomes organic gardeners, farmers, dairies and handlers; farmers interested in converting from conventional to sustainable methods; consumers interested in organic products, methods and sources; service providers involved in production and sales of organic products & supplies; University Extension Researchers; Environmental Organizations and Agriculture Agency staff interested in supporting the development of the organic community, to this forum.

NOFA-NY advocates organic, sustainable and ecological farming practices to eliminate the risks associated with the use of agricultural chemicals, irradiation and GMOs, and works to keep consumers informed about local, organic food choices and opportunities to be part of our growing regional food and farm market.
