What is new:


Page Selector
In goScreen, there are several ways of finding an application window on a
particular screen page: Uncover, Expose, Look through, Lower/Raise. Finding a
screen page was more difficult, or required more brain power. With Page
Selector, you can now find a screen page that "looks like something you
remember", rather than "assigned to a task you remember".


Page transition effects
There was a rudimentary page transition effect in version 5.5; now there is a
list of them. It is fun.


Faster desktop wallpaper change
It is easy to notice that, when you set a custom screen page wallpaper in
goScreen v5.6, it converts the source picture into Windows Bitmap format. It
speeds up the wallpaper change, sometimes considerably.


New set of rules: "Exclude"
There are numerous utilities that enhance the operating system, goScreen is one
of them. It can make sense to treat their windows as part of the OS, that is,
ignore them completely - same way as goScreen ignores, for example, Taskbar or
Program Manager. "Exclude" rules do just that.


New command: "Stay Here All"
Normally, when you switch screen pages, goScreen applies page assignment rules
to the applications on the page that you are about to leave and may relocate
some windows to other screen pages. Sometimes, this is not what you want; you
would rather keep all windows where they are. To ignore assignment rules
temporarily, you can now use this new command.

Disaster recovery.
In rare cases when goScreen hangs up, it is now possible to kill it as process
in Task Manager and then immediately restart. All "lost" hidden application
windows will be made visible.
