Yes, this is by design...
In older versions, when switching screen pages, what you saw for a fraction of
a second was the screen page that you were about to leave; in this version
what you see is the page you are about to arrive at. The problem is that you
see the old content of that page, the one that goscreen captured when leaving
it. This also makes possible to do page transition animations.
You can disable this behavior by disabling page transitions. To disable them,
save the following text into a text file and "import everything" from that
file on "backup" pane of goscreen properties dialog box
[Animator]
#MaxMemoryLoad=87
MaxMemoryLoad=0
Note, "87" is the default value. By setting max memory load to "0", you
disable transitions. If, at a later time you want to re-enable them, uncomment
a proper line, and again "import everything".

Subject: [goscreen] goScreen v5.6 shows old screen and update when switching?
Hello!
I noticed this in v5.6 at home and at work with updated Windows XP Pro. SP2
and SP3 (IE6). I use Windows map with hotkeys.
I am on a virtual desktop, I let it do something like compile, load a web page
that changes, etc. I go to another desktop and then return to the last one I
was on. I can see the old contents for less than a second and then a quick
update to the latest.
Is this by design? Is there a way to turn it off? I don't care to see the old
contents. :(
Thank you in advance. :)
