... M-37 connect with M-6 from what direction? It already does at Exit 15, which was the western terminus of the freeway when the M-6 was initially opened.

I thought the plan was to have M-37 either connect with M-6 then to beltline rd or for the new exit next to the airport to be numbered M-37 until it connects

  I think Brian is on to something here...  but to extend M-44 down to Battle Creek would result in a very odd routing indeed for that trunkline. These
