Hey all,


I am a Project Assistant working at School of Technology and Computer
Science, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai . I
have recently completed my Graduation Degree in Computer Engineering from
University of Pune, Maharashtra India.

I have been involved in the field of Grid Computing, Distributed
Computing, Scheduling Algorithms for Grid Computing, Cluster Computing,
Unix N/W Programming, Unix System Programming and Resource Management on
the Grid for almost 2 years till now (one small project + Final Year
Project +6 months of Project Assistantship all @ STCS, TIFR, Mumbai)

I had presented my Final Year Seminar/Technical Report at my college on
the Study of Grid Scheduling Algorithms and the Grid Scheduler. And my
Final Year project was building a Grid Computing Test-Bed for the study of
Grid Scheduling Algorithms. Here at STCS,TIFR I am been helping with and
for some time now handling the Grid-Computing and Cluster Computing
activities. Because of this I have gathered relevant experience in the
setup and maintenance of various Grid Computing and Cluster Computing
software such as OSCAR, Condor, Globus, PBS, LAM/MPI, MPICH. And also have
gained the required proficiency and mastery in the related GNU/Linux
Software.

I am very much interested in the various operational aspects of the Grid
Computing. And I also want to study the various aspects of the Theoretical
Computer Science being applied to this field, such as some models using
inspiration from the real world for the Grid Scheduling Techniques or
Resource Management
Techniques. These are of course hypothesis and have to worked
upon.Besides this I am more
interested in the practical applications of the Grid.

It would be of immense help if the members could please let me know of
any good universities working in this area and relevant research feilds.
I would like to continue my education further and want to contribute to
the field in any manner possible.

I would greatly appriciate any help regarding this area.
