Dear All:
Here are some updates from the Grid Computing Info Centre:
http://www.gridcomputing.com/
1. I am often asked: what are the differences and similarities between
clusters, grids, and P2P networks ? Because these days your often hear
people, particularly in commercial press releases, calling clusters and
P2P systems as Grid or vice-versa. So, I have made an attempt to clear
this confusion during the panel presentation that gave in the recently
concluded P2P computing conference held in Sweden. For the benefit of
our Grid info centre community, I have put them on the website. Check
out: http://www.gridcomputing.com/; your comments and thoughts etc. are
welcome.
2. Recently Gridbus project has released Economy-based P2P
infrastructure called ComputePower Market. A short article, entitled
"JXTA-based P2P Toolkit Enables Utility Computing" has appeared in
GridPlanet News. Check out:
http://www.gridcomputingplanet.com/news/article/0,,3281_1465041,00.html
I have also added links some new Grid projects.
Happy reading...
cheers
Raj
