hello priya,
Well Distributed and Grid computing are more or less the same.
Well in Distributed systems you have a cluster of autonomous computers
linked together by one or more networking technologies like
Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, etc and also the distributed systems will have
distributed software which will help to manage resources like h/w, s/w and
data.
Grid is like Big brother, its a super set, You can have one or more
or a cluster of distributed systems in a Grid. Grid is a type of parallel
computing environment which enables to share, select and use geographically
distributes autonomous resources dynamically at runtime depending on
various factors like availability, performance, QOS etc.

difference between distributed computing and Grid computing which I was unable
to answer. They said that Grid has the same features as Distributed Computing
,then why do you use a new term as GRID COMPUTING. Sir,please help me answer
this question and encourage me to research further on GRID COMPUTING.
