Description

Welcome to the GrowGrapes Group!
If you have little or no experience with grape growing, this is the group for you! Advanced growers are here to help you.

There are only two rules for participating at this group:
1.) People will post with courtesy and kindness.
2.) Advertisements for personal gain must be pre-approved by the group owner.

Violators will be set to moderated status immediately or banned from the group in extreme cases without warning.

Biovam Mycorrhiza is used by many grape growers to start new cuttings. It can boost growth enough to allow you to train your vines a whole year sooner than untreated cuttings. We highly recommend it for organic growers.

Brew up T&J Enterprises Microbe Tea, add Yucca Extract, and spray your grapes down once before bud break. This will protect your plants later when new shoots are growing and late Spring frosts come. This works well for fruit trees also so that late frosts do not bother the blooms. Weekly sprays of this tea will provide nutrients and will make your plants much more resistant to late frosts at the end of the season.

Re: Rubbing Off

Rubbing Off
I have had my small vineyard for about 10 years. I have always pruned in the spring and then left the vine to grow as it would. This year I pruned and then

Re: transplanting rootstock post-graft
What I've seen done: A 3 bud cutting of the root stock is de-budded and a grafting tool is used to attach a 2 bud cutting to the top of the de-budded 3 bud
