Sungei Buloh Nature Park Talk of the month
for February
(First Saturday of the month)
"Encounters with places and plants" by Ali Ibrahim
Saturday, 17th February 2001: 3pm to 4pm
at the Theatrette, Visitor Centre, Sungei
Buloh Nature Park
From the rare Rafflesia to the giant
Redwood, plants are always
fascinating to look at. Often as you encounter
plants or gain some
kind of knowledge about them, you are compelled
to read or travel
to places far and remote to unravel their
special beauty.
Ali Ibrahim, Conservation Officer of Sungei
Buloh shares his
encounters with wonderful plants.
All are welcome. Normal park entrance fees apply.
Ali has wide experience, is a good speaker
and has great slides
[Sivasothi].
