Abstract - The earth sustains a human population of 63 billion even as the environment
continues to be destroyed. Have we reached the limits of sustainability?
What exactly is the maximum number of humans our planet can bear? This
second episode examines the earth’s limitations vis a vis a quiz format and
a model of the globe. Then at the dinner table, the students calculate the
total amount of food that can be produced in the world and check that
against the calories consumed by each of their countries, and the maximum
sustainable human population based on the number of calories consumed by
their home countries. Has the world reached a limit or is there still room
for more people?

---> [5] WildSingapore features nature events
A new resource is available on the net at WildSingapore.
of all the wonderful activities to do with nature that are regularly
organised. I thought a one-stop place to refer to such activities might be
useful. I've uploaded whatever I could find out.
If you have any additional activities that you would like to highlight
or feature, I would gladly add them to the list. This includes talks,
kids' activities, occasions when you need volunteers. The details that
would be useful are:
- (a) Date
- (b) Time
- (c) Place
- (d) Short summary of what they can see/do; any charges that apply; pre-booking etc
- (e) Contact email and phone
