Dear All,

I have decided to retire my MV from its current role and rather than
just leave it gathering dust i wonder about putting in a smallish disk
and using it as a local ice/shoutcast server on my lan.

Whilst I am not exactly new to linux, I am down the user end of the
pool, not at the hacker end. The question I have is whether someone
can point me in the direction of information on getting started with
things like compiling software for different architectures etc.
