According to the FAQ :
"On the Generation 2 Media Vaults, SSH is installed by default and enabled. SSH is more secure than telnet and is also supported in putty.exe. To use it, you must set up an admin name and password and then reboot the system you'll be able to use SSH to log into the MV2 with user 'root' and the password you set for the admin. Please note, after setting or resetting the admin password, YOU MUST REBOOT the device using either the web interface (restart under the System tab), or from the power button before it will let you login with SSH."
So it would seem that the ssh should be enabled by default and you dont needto do anything.. There is no telnet support out of the box..

Hi All,
I've having trouble with activating telnet on HPmediavault 2120.
I've tried http://Hpmediavault /image/hptelnet. asp but it looks like the directory doesn't exist. If I use ../images, I can see files. Can anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong?
Thanks,
Daniel
