Are you thinking of upgrading to the 4990 model? I have the Epson
3200, too,; I've been taking pictures for quite a while and I like the
fact that it can handle every format that I've used over the past 50+
years, including half frame. I haven't made a print bigger than 8x10
(20x25) from hf. If you do get the 4990 I hope that you'll report on
it to this group. Does it go up to 4x5 (10x12.5) the way the 3200
does? Maybe they've improved the film holders? The holders on the
3200 sometimes give me a problem with the film bowing and contacting
the glass.

I'm not sure about the 4x5 film holder in the 4990, but you can esaly have a good print larger, interpolating the file with a lower resolution, my press book...
