I tried to download a S19 file to the Handyboard using the hbdl.exe downloader. Before I could click the download button a message stated that the port could...
... Just a curiosity, Are you intending to run your compiled file along with your IC program or instead of the IC firmware? If your goal is the first then IC...
Hi, I think this group can help me : I'm going to put 8 sonars (Devantech SRF04) on my robot based on a homemade board. The code that drives the robot is wrote...
I suggest you post this to the M68HC11 group (m68HC11@yahoogroups.com). You will need the HC11 reference manual, which in the most basic terms provides the...
Hello all, Handy board was working all good and everything yesterday but i just connected it today to the battery and i can see it dead not any battery light...
I have the board connected and I can download the firmware through IC v.5. When I take away the power the firmware is no longer onthe board. What can I do so I...
Accident: Reversed polarity on battery power. Effect: No interaction with computer. Unable to enter bootstrap. Unable to softboot. Checked the pic and found...
Thank you, I've subscribed in M68HC11 group and I'll search for answers there !! Yes, I've projected a sonar-switch that uses a 3bit multiplexer, now I "just"...
Dear all When I try to download the firmware to my handyboard, it freezes at 98%. I had this error before and I just replaced the MC and it worked fine Another...

I bet you it is a problem with your adapter. What are its specs? Can you measure its open-circuit voltage (no load -- just put the meter on its terminals)? ...
My adapter specs is DC 12V max. 500mA. Previously it had a center conductor positive, but I changed wires inside the adaptor to have it negative. I measured it...

Yes, the open-circuit voltage should be in the 16-18v range. Probably the adapter is defective. Fred...
I'm building a Handyboard (I make my class build their own) after a hiatus of several years. All has been fine so far, but at the end of construction step 4.4...

I see that no one have a determinate solution for the 98% problem. Can we make a list of possible causes for the problem? The possible causes for the error...
The problem is that the RAM subsystem is broken. I would remove all chips not strictly necessary to boot IC. This would include the 74hc244, hc374, and hc138....
hi all ... saw a crucial typo in my msg. When you are testing the "bad board" the chips that should be removed are the HC374, HC244 and HC138. you need the...
Fred, Thanks for the refresher in how to diagnose problem circuits by elimination testing. The only thing I would add is to verify all of the regulated voltage...
All- Well, I also have the 98% problem, and I found a bad HC132 chip (tried it in a working HB and it no longer worked). But replacing the HC132 didn't help...

Greg, you're right, the HC04 is not part of the RAM ckt. sorry for the mistake. Did your RAM chip from the 'bad board' work in the 'good board'? You might be...
see which 'Y' line the latch's enable is connected to on the handyboard.. the motor outs are anything from 0x7000 to 0x7FFF -- only the four msbs are used....
it sounds like you have a regulated adapter, which will not work. My 9.6v battery pack reaches over 15v while charging, which is normal. If your power pack...
Hi, I have the handyboard and the Ping)))-Sensor (ultrasonic) of Parallax (www.parallax.com - http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=28015). But I can't...
