Dear friends and colleagues,
Here is the first announcement for the Seventh New Mexico Analysis
Seminar. This year the Seminar will be just prior to an AMS meeting to be
held in October in Albuquerque, instead of in the Spring, that is why you
have not heard from us earlier!
We are waiting for official confirmation for NSF support. Until then we
can only guarantee support for the invited speakers. However we are pretty
optimistic that NSF will sponsor the conference as it has done in the
past.
Please feel free to pass this information to your students and colleagues.

Keynote Speakers:

The New Mexico Analysis Seminar is a yearly conference that runs
between the University of New Mexico and New Mexico State University.
The goal of the seminar is to provide an opportunity for scientific
exchange and cooperation among broadly defined analysts.
The centerpieces of the conference this year will be two workshops
led by the keynote speakers. To complement the workshops four invited
one-hour lectures will be featured, Professor Lisa Bronsard
(McMaster University), Professor Donatella Danielli
(Purdue University), Professor Scott Pauls (Darmouth College),
and Professor Peter Sternberg (Indiana University).
The event will most likely be sponsored by NSF, and this year is just
prior to an AMS sectional meeting (16-17 October), where special sessions
on the subject of the workshops will be hosted, as well as other sessions
on other topics in analysis
(
http://www.ams.org/amsmtgs/2112_program.html ).
Contributed speakers:
There will be time allocated for contributed talks, most of them
will be presented in the special sessions during the AMS meeting.
