We organize a Symposium on Scattering and Spectral Theory in Brazil this summer. For more details, see:

There will be a summer school in Recife followed by a symposium in Serrambi. The lecturers for the summer school are Benguria (Santiago), Helffer (Paris Sud), Hislop (Kentucky), Vodev (Nantes) and Sa Barreto (Purdue).

We still have some NSF funds left to cover the expenses of a few recent Ph.D.'s (up to 5 years after the Ph.D. degree) and graduate students from US institutions. Prospective applicants should follow the instructions on the web page and notify the organizers as soon as possible.
