Windows "midi mapper" often fails for me too, I have to options to choose from. "midi mapper" and "micrsoft GS wavetable synth." When "midi mapper" fails, just try changing to the second option (if available)
This has solved this very problem for me on multiple occasions.

NO change.
This morning when I turned the computer on the Harping-MIDI worked perfect!!! I

Most of the times this happens because the sw synth in windows mixer is muted,
go to the windows mixer (double click in the volume icon) and check that the sw
synth is not muted. If this doesn't work check the MIDI Out device under the
options, normally MIDI mapper should be fine unless some other application
changed it, try changing the option there.

OK, so for anyone that is like me, the solution is rather simple, make yourself
a tun file and then change the 5 blow to the same note as the next one ;) my
solution works on the standard tuning.

in the normal tuning you would find on blow slide in there are 2 C# instead of 2
F and 2 C instead of 2 E. By defualt the program works on the "higher" numbered
note so by changing it to the same as the following note, you basically render

I did not see it really addressed in the tutorial either he just said down load
MIDI files from web sites.
If I could get the MIDI on the desk top (or some other folder ) I am sure I
could get it in the program.
If I go to a web site that has a down load button I can click on it and get it
saved on my computer and I can get it in the program no problem, But if it does
not have that down load button is it possible to still down load that MIDI filt
to my desktop??
That IS the problem, and I don't understand how to do it.
I am sure this is a trivial thing for most of you but not for me.
The MIDI files on this Yahoo Web site do not have a down load button so how do I
get them from Yahoo to My desktop is the question.
