Juny – I thought maybe you already
had a guesstimate on the cost for the caterer that we could use to do a quick
comparison.
Westley – would you like me to
contact FCC tomorrow to get a quote from one or two of the caterers listed? If
so, do you have any preferences?

Week Banquet Location
Maelyn,
Listed in the sheet that was faxed to
Westley are 5 different caterers.
The cost depends on the type and quantity
of food we want the caterer to provide us and the number of people to be
served. I suggest that you get in touch with some of the caterers listed and
select the type of menu we want. You can ask them to provide you their
suggested menu. Only then will you be able to determine the cost per head.
If you want recommendations or
suggestions, I can inquire from FCC as to which caterer would be the most
suitable and well liked. If you have a caterer(s) in mind, let me know who you
selected from the list provided by FCC and I can contact them myself.

The info for the FCC that Westley has does not include the catering service. Do you have an idea of the cost per head for this?

I vote for Koolau or Oahu CC at this point. Appears to be less hastle, i.e one price gets all the required services as a package. FCC may have parking problems - Note requirements for SD Police.

Okay, now you have probably at least three available options. I guess all that you need to work out now is selecting the best, the most suitable, and the most affordable.
Hopefully, everyone now should realize that problems of this kind are actually easy to solve if we all put our heads and efforts together.

and they are available. Juny: Can you provide input on the suitability of this venue and if they meet our budgetary constraints? Filipino Community Center
I also contacted the Oahu Country Club. The dining room is available and can hold up to 275. The room, however, is L-shaped but workable. Cost per person is $33.69 (includes service charge and tax). We need to find a sponsor but I don't think that will be a problem. They have a piano but we need to bring our own extension cords. Incidental costs (screen, mic, stage, etc.) total $55 so we may be able to keep our cost below $35 per person.
Looks like we now have two, maybe three, viable options to choose from. Your comments are appreciated.
