Further, Jim's Series II isn't a HD Tivo, so it can't receive OTA broadcasts.  FWIW, I didn't see anything even remotely insulting in Randy's reply.  While DirecTV continues to send the SD MPEG-2 channels out, Jim's Series II can be used to record them.  Otherwise, it's pretty much a brick.
