I like your reasoning and Sue’s of course…
What size is your USB drive and what do people
consider to be the absolutely essential information to be able to get started
again from scratch if the worst came to the worst? My first thoughts are:
This year’s translations wherever they may
be stored
DVX databases
Dragon User files (maybe not 100% essential as I
could start again)
Outlook messages (I have calendar and contacts
synced on my iPhone)
I’m sure I’m missing something…
Contributions gratefully received!!!

FWIW, I maintain 4 copies of all my user data (PC, laptop, USB drive,
'remote' PC), and I have been keeping the USB drive in the car four years.
My reasoning is this: if the house is burgled while I'm out and the
thief takes the PC and the laptop, I can simply buy a new PC or laptop
and carry on working almost instantly.
