A new version of HercGUI has been released: 1.8.15 build 4316.

Not much in this one other than slightly more efficient handshaking
with the new MSVC version Hercules so that the updating of the device
status pane doesn't consume as much host CPU as it used to, as well
as the ability to start multiple HercGUI sessions without the new
session getting an error whenever it tries to open the same logfile
as the one that's already opened in the already running GUI. (A new
logfile is now always created each and every time in order to prevent
that). Also tried to tweak the message-handling logic to try and be
slightly more efficient when it comes to displaying large trace
tables, etc (i.e. sudden message bursts/floods):


Fixes:

- Added missing support for 3390-27 dasd type (also known as
3390-J)
- More efficient device status updating logic (when used with the
new MSVC version of Hercules)
- Create a new logfile each and every time GUI is started to
prevent logfile filename clash with any already running HercGUI
- Tweak message handling logic to better handle message
bursts/floods
- Track document width more efficiently for horizontal scrollbar
purposes (message burst handling tweak)


Enhancements:

- DASDINIT dialog: Save/Restore previously used device-type and
volser



NOTE: that it may take anywhere from 24-48 hours or more for the new
release to propagate properly to all of the mirrors. (I had some
trouble with the new photos subdirectory)
