Version 1.3.0 (build 1445) of AWSBrowse has been released.

AWSBrowse is a Windows utility to allow read-only browsing (viewing)
of .AWS emulated tape files. Among it's many features are:

o Significantly faster than existing awsbrows.exe
o More functional and user-friendly user-interface (in my opinion
anyway)
o Supports both .aws and .het files (including spanned block files)
o Supports both ZLIB and BZIP2 compressed het file formats (DLLs
included), as well as Bus Tech ZLIB compressed files as well
o User configurable hex display (font and layout)
o Hex/text search capability (find whatever data you're looking
for)
o Displays both EBCDIC or ASCII
o Ditto-like toolbar buttons for quick positioning to next/previous
block/file
o Clipboard support for hex/text/binary data (hex data copied from
AWSBrowse can be pasted into Visual Studio's binary file editor)
o Printing and Print Preview support (but only for single selected
blocks)
o Supports extremely large files (greater than 4GB)

setting)

o Support for Bus-Tech ZLIB compressed AWS files
o Support for toggling display of Hex view on or off (so you can
see just the text only)
o Support for specifying text area width when in text-only viewing
mode


** NOTE **

You WILL NEED the new 'FishLib' DLL with this new version.
FishLib.DLL contains support code that will be needed by all future
versions of my products starting with this version of AWSBrowse. (I'm
trying to break out the common functionality into a separately
maintained module to make it easier not only for me but also for you
should a minor glitch in a common routine need fixing).
