Thankfully I haven't had to do this in a LOOOOONG time now, but
unfortunately this month I have to.

Up until now I've been mostly surviving off the [meager] income I've
been earning doing Hercules contract support for a particular company
who shall remain anonymous, but for the past few months things have
been going smoothly and he hasn't been needing much of my help. Thus
no income (or VERY LITTLE income in any case!)

Rent is due in a couple days and for those of you who don't know me
(who are new to Hercules) I'm still technically unemployed (although
with this part-time Hercules support gig I'm doing I prefer to think
of myself as been "self employed"[1]) and so still rely largely on
monetary donations in order to survive.

In the past 7 months I've only received a grand total of 8 donations
totaling $325. Hardly enough to even but groceries for one week let
alone pay the rent and electricity bill, etc. :(

SOOOOO....

If you haven't made a donation yet I'd really appreciate it if you
would. I'd be an ever so grateful Tigger if you'd send whatever you
can so I can make it into the 3rd week of next month (which is when
I'll get paid for the hours I've put in for THIS month, which should
be a rather nice sized check seeing how I've put in a significant
number of hours straightening out the SCSI tape handling for him that
I messed up during the MSVC port).

It doesn't have to be much. ANY amount would be helpful. $20, $50,
more, less -- whatever you feel comfortable sending and can afford.

NOTE! Do NOT send me any money if you can't afford to do so! I do NOT
accept donations from other unemployed people! If you send money
claiming to also be unemployed like me but thought you'd help out
what you could anyway you donation will be promptly returned. I known
what it's like to be unemployed and I'm here to tell you it ain't fun
folks (it sucks to be poor), so if you are too PLEASE, save your
money! You'll need it.

If you're NOT unemployed however and are instead one of those lucky
enough to have a full time job that hasn't been out-sourced to India
yet then I'd REALLY appreciate a voluntary donation at this time.
(And yes I DO mean voluntary. All donations are purely voluntary. If
you just don't feel like making one for whatever reason (you don't
care for my software, my language, my looks, my smell, my long
rambling posts, etc) then be simply don't make one. You're the one
that has to live with yourself, not me. >;-)

Okay, I guess that's enough pitiful whining for now. Time to get back
to working on Herc I guess. "So much code, so little time"...

[1] Unfortunately however my "current employer" (i.e. ME!) isn't
paying me enough.[*] >;-)

[*] Largely because he can't afford to, unfortunately. He only has
(that's ME I'm talking about) one and only one client right now, and
I'm only charging him $30/hr ("Bargain price! Act now! Offer ends
soon! Yada! Yada! Yada!") which is hardly enough to make ends meet
when I only put in 40-60 hours in a really good month (105 total for
the four months preceding March, 68 of which were in January. You do
the math). :(
