(sigh)

(I hate it when that happens) :(

Jay? Could you or someone else apologize to this person and explain
to them that we weren't trying to be rude to them but rather to
simply encourage them to use the proper support forum so that they
could get the proper support they needed without introducing
unnecessary off-topic "noise" into the main Hercules forum?

Perhaps my reply could have been a bit more tactful (and certainly
Enrico's could have been) and for that I apologize, but given that
I've personally received emails from users in the past complaining
that no one answered their question on the main Hercules forum which
was why they were contacting me directly which upon further research
was because the group was busy carrying on an off-topic discussion on
some other non-related subject which was why their request for help
was missed and thus never answered (and seeing how it was obvious
alkanet25 needed a lot of handholding and thus that it was likely
he(?) was probably going to be asking a lot more non-Hercules related
questions), I personally thought it might be best to try and "nip the
problem in the bud" so to speak.[1]

I hope I didn't do wrong. :(

It looks like he's a bit miffed.

So could you? You're better at such things than me and since I was
partly to "blame" for his leaving he might not now listen to anything
I might say to him.

Thanks.

(and sorry about all this)

:(
