Description

This group exists to help coordinate the efforts of the herring counters in their mission to monitor populations of alewife and blueback herring.

The Harwich Massachusetts Herring Runs are critical to support of this species (alosa pseudoharangus)in the New England. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has announced continuing it's moratorium on the taking of river herring for another three years.
