Hello Han,
I will send to you this message with an bmp attached file of the
interface using the address showed in www.hnsky.org I "placed" in
this bmp such buttons, as a possibility or example.
First, I would like to justify why is a good improvement to place
buttons for "Boldness" and "Density" on the "Menu Bar".
There are three main reasons:
1. Many times because of light-pollution and/or weather conditions,
the "Boldness" and the "Density" should be adjusted while
we change or pass between "free eye", "sighting scope"
and "eyepiece". Many times we need to do "Boldness" and "Density"
adjustments in the same time with the observation. It is more easy to
have new buttons on the "Menu Bar" nearby "IN" and
"OUT" buttons; for example "+B", "-B", "+D" and "-D" to
increase/decrease "Boldness" and respective "Density". The most used
adjustments during the observation are "Boldness" and "Density", not
less than "IN" and "OUT". May be here the sky is not always so stable
and clear like yours! (:
2. By opening the "Objects" from "Menu Bar" and keeping this form on
the screen, an important part on the screen will be
covered (obstructed), especially when a laptop PC is used. On the
other hend, on the menu bar is already enough space to add these new
buttons!
3. This buttons for "Boldness" and "Density" are on the "Menu Bar"
in almost all other planetarium programs, means it seems to be good
reasons for this.
If is difficult or too much time is needed to do this improvement,
may be keyboard shortcuts could be used, for example F1, F2, F3, F4
or other handy combination.
For me, the absence of these buttons for "Boldness" and "Density" on
the "Menu Bar" makes the observation harder while I work with my
telescope (a simple 6" Ra/Az one). It is a pity, because Hnsky is one
of the best (I think the best) freeware planetarium while working
outdoor in connection with a telescope. Naturally you know the
reasons! And believe me; I tried almost all the planetarium programs
and not the freeware only!. I specify again: to work in the
connection with a telescope, outdoor, using a laptop PC.
Best regards
Michael
