Codesweeper for comments   Message List

Hi,

I just joined because I have a question about Homesite. This is a
large group, but unfortuneately, it doesn't look very active.
Nevertheless, maybe someone can help.

I am trying to configure a Codesweeper to strip comments out of an
html file. I configures a new codesweeper profile and under 'Tag
Specific Settings' I added the COMMENT tag, for which I checked 'Strip
Tag From Document'. For 'All Other tags' I clicked 'Preserve Tag
Contents and 'Preserve Tag Formatting'.

When I run this codesweeper, the comments are not removed. Does anyone
have an idea how to do this, or can you steer me to a utility that
reliably strips comments from HTML?

Thank you,
Linda H

Did you use word COMMENT in your definition? It might be looking for a tag like <COMMENT>...</COMMENT> BTW, the main homesite support forum is over here. ...
