quote from an earlier post on anoter site...
Dear Ralph,
I'm of the firm belief that the Egyptian culture flourished in
Greece 'post' Akhenaten as this is where some of the Hebrews went to
in their exodus. As in a book by John M. Allegro called "The Chosen
People" he states that Jonathan a Jewish leader 150 b.c.e.
(approximately) asked for help from the Spartans saying you Spartans
are of the same kin and blood as me, so please help us. Plus there
are many other direct thoughts of the influences, such as Thebes a
city in ancient Greece. Ralph is there a chance 'Athens' is a word
derivative of the power of the 'Aten' religion of ancient Egypt.
The influence of Akhenaten's one higher power was a very strong
religious concept that people were not going to let go...In time
though it would go off in many directions, which is another story in
it's self.
Quote Ralph:
However, the multitude of gods from Greece was not Atonism, so there
must have been other influences from Thebes. Alexander himself
worshipped Dionysus, who, as the Green Man, was Osiris. But Osiris
as Ra was the pre-cursor of the Aten, as I will show in a later work.
"However, the multitude of gods from Greece was not Atonism."
Quote Aper_El:
...of coarse not, its my contention those 'gods' were Thebean Amunist
rites from (Thebes) Egypt originally. I can't recall the book right
now...but it stated Ammon is ZEUS...
