Hello,

For those of you who don't know who I am, my name is Danny Bird and I am the
Owner of Horizon of the Aten. The group is a founding member of the Avis-Pirum
Network, of which I am a Consul alongside my good friend, Jordan Perry.

I have recently completed my undergraduate studies at the University of
Sheffield, achieving a 2.1 in History! I therefore now have more time to
concentrate on the group. Before and during my studies I endeavoured to ensure
that Horizon of the Aten would remain an active and engaging forum for the
discussion of Egyptology. Regrettably, despite my best efforts to appoint a
moderator board to assist in the day-to-day running of the group in my absence,
the group has become the target of spam and off-topic nonsense.

Horizon of the Aten is a big group, currently the largest in the Avis-Pirum
Network, and it deserves to be a beacon to the rest of the Egyptology category.
I am therefore appealing to any members who are interested in assisting me in
managing the group to come forward and announce their interest. After careful
consideration I will appoint a select few to the position of Moderator. For all
of those who desire this or have any queries, please familiarise yourself with
the Constitution of the Avis-Pirum Network, particularly the sections concerning
moderators; this can be found in the group's Files section.
