Amenhotep III - did he encourage his wayward son Akhenaten?
Queen Tiye - Wife of Amenhotep III, and a woman that held
considerable power until her death (why did Tutankhamun have a lock
of her hair in his tomb?)
Queen Nefertiti - the stunningly beautiful wife of Akhenaten, he
treated her with devotion and adoration.
Smenkhkare - was Nefertiti's name during the last years of
Akhenaten's reign and the transferance to Tutankhamun's reign.
Ay - Father of Nefertiti? advisor to Tutankhamun and later Pharoah
himself. He worshipped the Aten with Akhenaten but changed
allegiances when Amun was returned to power.....but somepeople did
not forget the past....
Horemheb - a general, perhaps the cold power behind the return to the
ways of Amun and later Pharaoh - did he do the dirty deeds????
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
My comment on the above...

Smenkhkare is the Royal name of Nefertiti...she wanted to carry on
the worship of the Aten? Was also co-ruler with Tutankhamen.
