So you think you know everything about this mature subject? Well we
beg to differ. Have you asked yourself the following?
·How has technology affected ergonomics? i.e. – The Wireless
Keyboard, The Wireless Mouse, The Blackberry?
·How does an employee working at home affect an employers'
responsibility for ensuring that their employee is equipped with the
latest ergonomic equipment?
·What new innovations from other countries are available?
·What does the future hold for ergonomics?

The Speaker
Kevin Butler, MS, AEP has received both his undergraduate and
graduate degrees in Industrial Engineering. After graduating from
Arizona State University in 2001, he moved to The Ohio State
University where he studied under Dr. William Marras, a world leader
in the field of ergonomics.
During his two-year tenure at OSU, Kevin had the opportunity to work
in the Biodynamics Laboratory where he played a leading role in using
quantitative modeling tools and running extensive experiments for a
number of organizations including The Bureau of Workers Compensation
(BWC) and The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health
(NIOSH).

Following the completion of his Thesis, which focused on workplace
biomechanics and compressive spinal loading, he accepted a position
at Humanscale in August of 2003. Since joining Humanscale, he has
also earned and been recognized by the Board of Certification in
Professional Ergonomics (BCPE) as an Associate Ergonomics
Professional (AEP).

In his current role as Midwest Region Ergonomist of the Humanscale
National Ergonomic Group, Kevin's primary responsibilities include
representing Humanscale to the professional ergonomic community and
providing ergonomic training and support to both Humanscale employees
as well as key customers.
