professional to join our team at Landmark as a full time employee.
Whoever we hire will most likely be primarily working on a new
collaboration that we have with EMC at first and would also work on
other projects as well. We're looking for flexible generalists who
can design and run usability tests.

Description
• Lead the interaction design effort for one or more products.
• Work closely with development, product management and other groups
to optimize the user experience for our customers and to make ease of
use a product differentiator.
• Communicate designs through storyboards, interaction design
specifications and process flow diagrams.
• Create paper and interactive prototypes to gather early feedback.
• Validate designs using a variety of methods, including usability
testing, focus groups, surveys, etc.
• Work with other usability team members to optimize the design
process and apply design standards to ensure a common look and feel
across all products.
• Learn sufficient domain specific material to understand some of the
issues involved for the end users
• Some occasional travel may be required.
Desired Qualifications
• Experience working with remote development teams.
• Visual design skills.
• Experience with Documentum products.
• Online portfolio or digital portfolio attached to resume
Must have excellent communication skills
• Must be passionate about improving software usability.
• Must be a team player and work well in a collaborative environment.
• Willingness and ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies
• Familiarity with Windows, Java, and web application interface design
guidelines.
• Proficiency with design tools such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, Visio,
and/or Canvas
• Bachelor's degree in interaction design, human factors, human
computer interaction, usability, graphics design, fine arts, or a
related design discipline
Required Skills
• Minimum of 3 years experience leading interaction design and
usability efforts for desktop and web applications in a software
company development environment.
• Must understand all phases of designing an enterprise software
product, including planning and scheduling tasks.
• Must demonstrate experience understanding complex systems, and be
both big-picture and detail oriented.
• Experience developing user profiles, scenarios, usability
requirements, and leading brainstorming sessions.
• Experience validating designs using usability testing, focus groups,
surveys, and other creative methods.
• Ability to work well with product management and development to
validate product requirements and convert them into usable product
designs.
