That one I did not get so far. The Moab Lasal Photo Luster of 270 gsm
shows identical plots to the European Canon EU Glacier Photo Quality
1929B 300gsm which should be equal to the USA Canon Heavyweight Satin
Photographic 300gsm though my plots show some small differences. The
last paper showed the best fade resistance of all RC papers in
Aardenburg testing (Canon pigments though) including the stability of
the paper white. That new 300gsm Moab paper could be another one from
the same source both Moab and Canon use. Keep an eye on them and it
would be nice if more are tested at Aardenburg. The Canon Heavyweight
is, if fade resistance matters, right now the best choice in brighter RC
papers.
I use an Epson Proofing White Semi-Matte 256 gsm with little or no OBA
content but a high white reflectance as a warmer RC paper. Wide gamut
too with Z3200 inks and Epson uses the gamut quote in its advertising
for all x900 wide formats. Window testing tells me that it does not
shift paper white color either. Would be nice to have that one tested
independently.
Of the HP RC papers for pigment inks the HP Professional Satin Photo,
300gsm, is the only one tested at Aardenburg (Z3100 inks) and its paper
white shifted fast and deep. Many liked the print quality and the
surface but it is certainly not pro in the paper white. New tests are
done with Z3200 inks and it shows the same issue in the early stages of
the test.
