Description

HTTP is one of the most widely used protocols on the Internet
today. Unfortunately, it's also somewhat complex, ambiguous,
and difficult to implement in some cases.

As a result, there's a growing variation between different
implmenetations, either through differing interpretations,
or selective implementation. Because more vendors are
becoming aware of this and the problems it causes, this
list has been started to facilitate discussion on the
development of a common set of tests and/or testing
tools to put HTTP clients, servers and intermediates
through.

Such tests (or tools) are not (neccessarily) deliverables
for this list.
