It turns out that there is a televised football international on Tuesday Evening, and in view of the additional crowds and noise it has been decided to try out an alternative (quieter) venue.  We will be meeting from 8.00pm at:

At the last meeting we discussed the idea of travelling down to Lincoln LUG's
first meeting on Tuesday 27/09/2011.  I'll be taking my car there and will have
some space available.  There were others who were willing to drive down as well.

If you would like to come along with us, send a reply to this, and we'll sort
out the necessary arrangements. No doubt it will involve leaving Hull at about
6.00 – 6.30pm on the day in question.

Does anyone listen to it?

The LUG and inparticulally (sp?) the next meeting might be getting a mention on
Tuesday morning during the diary slot(s).

If I remember correctly the diary slot is broadcast at about five to the hour
during the breakfast show.

To all Lincoln LUG members

I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas and I would like to wish
you all a Happy New Year.

The first Lincoln LUG meeting of 2012 is planned in - it will be on
Wednesday 18th January 2012 starting at 7.30pm. We will meet at the
usual place, i.e. Ye Olde Crowne pub, Clasketgate, Lincoln, LN2 1JS.
There is no planned theme/subject for this month's meeting but if you
want to, you can do a Show and Tell session where you can show off any
shiny new tech that you got from Father Christmas :D

We are again hoping to be joined by some members of Hull LUG, so there
will plenty of us to banter with. We are also in the early planning
stages of trying to arrange a joint LUG trip (with Hull LUG) to the UK
Computer Museum just outside Cambridge, so if this is something that
would interest you and you would like some input into the discussions,
please feel free to come along.

There was some chat on the Sixgun Productions irc last night (while waiting for
Linux Outlaws to start) about learning a spot of coding in the new year.  We
were pointed towards the Codecadamy website.

I've signed up for the free Javascript Course with Codecademy (
http://www.codecademy.com/ ), to see how I get on. If anyone else fancies a go
let me know and we can compare notes either here/the Hull LUG G+ page/somewhere
online, or (ideally) at the LUG meet.
