More on The Power of Words
This comes from Robert B. Stone …
"How Attitudes and Emotions can Pollute the Body"
It is so easy to get sick. We learn how to get sick at
a very young age. We see others get sick. We hear why.
"If you get your feet wet, you'll catch cold."
THIS IS PROGRAMMING. The brain and neurons accept it
as instructions, an order to be obeyed. And so it
becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
We watch others get sick. We picture it happening to
us. That's called worry. WORRY, too, IS PROGRAMMING.
The pictures we HOLD in our mind also act as orders to
be obeyed.
We also have FIGURES OF SPEECH that program us. Here
are ten in common use today:
1. He makes me sick. (Dealer's choice)
2. She gives me a pain in the neck. (Stiff Neck)
3. He bugs me. (Infection)
4. She galls me. (Gallstones)
5. Oh, my achin' back. (Lower Back Pain)
6. He broke my heart. (Heart Problems)
7. I don't give a _____. (Constipation)
8. I can't stand her. (Leg Problems)
9. I could vomit. (Indigestion)
10. He ________ me off. (Bladder Problems)
Since figure of speech Number Five got started during
World War II, lower back problems have increased FORTY
PERCENT.
Each of these statements is like an affirmation.
Repeat an affirmation enough times and it becomes
programming. Just like experiences and mental
pictures, affirmations are orders to our brain
neurons.
The pictures we use while thinking and the words we
use while conversing become programming.
Negative thoughts and expressions of feeling become
negative or unwanted programming.
POSITIVE THOUGHTS and EXPRESSIONS of FEELING become
POSITIVE or WANTED programming.
