You Can Quickly End Stress
by Recognizing the "Source."
Test it for yourself.
When you begin to feel overwhelmed ... first identify if the stress originates within the unihipili or the uhane.
If you feel emotionally overburdened or depressed ... then it is the unihipili (your emotional self) that is stressed.
If you feel "overburdened" or pressed-for-time ... then it is the uhane (your logical self) that is stressed.
Simply "switch gears" ...
If the unihipili is stressed ... then do some left-brained activities.
Do some simple (or complex if you prefer) math ... write a factual letter or note ... or organize your desk, office, cabinet, etc.
By focusing on the uhane's dominion, the unihipili gets the chance to calm down.
If the uhane is stressed ... then go to some right-brained activities.
Do something creative, crafts, doodle, sing ... dancing is good too ... or even play a sport!
Either way ...
... by "switching gears" you can quickly reach a state of "equilibrium" ... what we call pono ... from which you can proceed toward your ultimate goal of a well-spent life.
