I have tentatively scheduled the Second PowerSchool JUCO (for those
that are new, that is PowerSchool Junior College, named after
PowerSchool University) for Thursday April 26th at the Heartland AEA.
Two years ago we had this, and it was a one day training for tech
people, Principals, Secretaries, Guidance Counselors, anyone who uses
PowerSchool. We try to offer sessions in topics you would like to
learn more about. This year I think we will try to break down the
classes into smaller groups by area of use, for example Secretaries,
Guidance, Principals, etc.
What I need now is a tentative "yes" that date will work for you, and
"we will be sending about XX many people". The cost last time was
around $50. This included the training, rolls and juice, lunch and
snack (I was told to have LOTS of food). We also have door prizes at
the end of the day (last time we gave away two $100 gift certificates
to the Apple Store.
We will be working with PowerSchool to try and have a trainer there to
offer and advanced class as well.
I would also like to open it to all the Pearson CenterPoint customers,
if they would like to come and talk, try out some features, and just
learn about what they might be using.
I also need names and emails of people that are willing to do one or
all of the following:
1- Help plan the event, food, rooms, materials, etc.
2- Teachers for the classes. We need people that use it day in and
out to offer some of their knowledge to others that work in their
area. For example Secretaries like to listen to a fellow Secretary.
If you are willing to help or would like to attend, email me at
jchristiansen@... If it bounces, don't worry, probably just the
SPAM filter, and I can whitelist you.
