Changes to the Fall/Spring Submission Report

Only fall course enrollments are reported
Problem: Only the fall course enrollments are being included in the extract.
The state would like
to have course enrollments for the entire school year.
Diagnosis: The report only includes course enrollments that a student has on
the Count Date.
This means only Quarter 1, Semester 1, and Year Long course enrollments are
being included
when Count Date = 10/14/04.
Resolution: The report was modified so that any defined course enrollments for
the student in
the entire school year will be included.

This document explains changes for the following:
• Iowa Project EASIER Data Submission File (IA_DataSubmissionFile) Version 1.2
Problems Fixed
• The state requires that records are delimited by both a carriage return and
line feed
(Windows Encoding).
Enhancements
• The Alternate School Number will be used if populated. This is useful for
customers that
created separate school entities in PowerSchool that are actually recognized as
one entity
by the state.
Important Note for 4.0.x Customers
When the IA_DataSubmissionFile is run in 4.0.x PowerSchool server it
automatically goes to the
Report Queue. To download the extract created by the report from the Report
Queue, you must
follow the following steps:
1. Right-Click on the “Completed” link.
2. Select “Save Target/Link As”.
3. The dialog window that appears may present a filename to save as
“data_submission_20041105.data.html”. Remove the “html” extension from the file
name and
save only as “data_submission_20041105.html”.
