RE: [iapsug] Users Group meeting

Hi, Jeff.  We are in the middle of implementation of PowerSchool.  Our elementaries went live at the beginning of 2nd semester, and the middle school is "half-live", and getting more lively every day.  The high school is set for implementation next fall.

We are very interested in some kind of conference or workshop.  What does JuCo mean exactly?  Junior Conference?  Where would it be?  We are located in SW Iowa, about 25 miles south of Council Bluffs.  There are a number of administrative users (secretaries, network admins, etc.) who would like to learn more about PS and connect with more people using PS in the trenches.

There also may be some people from our local AEA that would like to attend.

Thanks for any info that you can send me.

Subject: [iapsug] Users Group meeting

I wanted to check with everyone and see what your thoughts were on a Second Annual
PowerSchool JuCo.  For those of you new to the group, last year we had a one-day training
session for PowerSchool Administrators and users (principals, secretaries, counselors, etc.)  It
is a little late in the year, but the idea was brought up that maybe we could have it in the
early summer.  Since many of the users would be on extended contracts, this might be a
good time to have it.

Let me know your thoughts, either if it would work, or not.  If I don't get much feedback, then
I will assume that you do not want to do it.  Also, let me know your thoughts on the format,
content, etc.  From the feedback last year, most said they would like the general session for
principals, guidance counselors, secretaries, etc, to be broken into smaller groups.  Ideas for
topics?  Also we must have some volunteers for trainers.  I know many of you have been
using it for a while know, and have some people that could be a trainer.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!
Jeff
