Is farray_otcl still needed in the new feacalc package?   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #69 of 162 |

Greetings,

I followed the the INSTALL file of feacalc-0.90, which said that farray_octl might be needed:

get farray_otcl; configure it --with-dat=<dat build dir> --without-otcl.

It's ok that it skips the Tcl interface. make lib . (?? Still needed? ??)

So I went to the directory:

SPRACHcore-2004-08-26/guitools/farray_otcl

Configure it(with option: without-otcl), and I got the following error:

./configure: line 2230: syntax error near unexpected token `{}\\'

./configure: line 2230: `s%[    `~#$^&*(){}\\|;'"<>?]%\\&%g'

I’m using GNU autoconf 2.59 under Debian Linux, so maybe the old configure file of faaray_octl doesn’t match with the new autotools.

Could someone please help on the following questions:

1, Since the SPRACHcore-2004-08-26 is a little old, how do I build my build environment to get it work?

2, How can I solve the above configure error problem and successfully configure and build the farry_octl package? Or question 3:

3, Is farray_otcl still needed in the new feacalc-0.90 package? If not, maybe I can skip the farray_otcl package;-)

BTW, is libdat still needed in the new feacalc-0.90 package? I built it successfully but a little curious.

Thank you very much.

Best wishes,

Xuchen
